Theo Butt Philip is the Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate for Bridgwater and West Somerset.

Theo has lived in Somerset all his life. He was born in Southmead Hospital, Bristol on 4th April 1983 and attended Stoberry Park Infants and Junior Schools and The Blue School, Wells as well as spending two terms at school in the USA.

He has a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Lancaster, where he was a member of the University's University Challenge team which reached the quarter finals of the 2004-5 series.

After graduating from Lancaster Theo studied law at the University of the West of England before becoming a public affairs consultant.

Theo is a parish councillor and member of the Liberal Democrats' national policy committee.
