Theo Butt Philip, the Liberal Democrat candidate for Bridgwater and West Somerset, appeared on BBC Somerset's Breakfast Show to discuss jobs and the local economy.

Theo said, "[The Liberal Democrats] have got a fully funded policy and plan to kick start a green sustainable revolution in the economy by seriously investing in low carbon technology and infrastructure which could be fantastic for Bridgwater".

He also explained, "We need to protect the businesses which are starting to do well." He outlined plans to increase the availability of business loans from state owned banks, and to reform the business rate structure to reduce the burden on small business and make large superstores pay their share.
